SE Water Ripple TiN Eclipse Black combines the liquid metal look with a deep black, glossy surface. The embossed ripples catch the light, making the black surface look like dark, moving water depending on the viewing angle. This makes Eclipse Black an eye-catching accent surface for counters, bars, hotel lobbies, showrooms and high-end bathrooms.
The base material is genuine stainless steel, 1.4301 as standard and 1.4404 on request. The black colouring is applied to the stainless steel. Formats are available in widths of 1250 and 1500 mm and lengths of up to 6000 mm.
Black metal surfaces have been in demand in interior design for several years, mostly in smooth or brushed finishes. Eclipse Black goes one step further: the water ripple embossing, with hollows of 50 to 120 mm in size and 2 to 6 mm in depth, gives the black mirror-finish sheet depth and movement. If you are looking for black Water Ripple, black liquid metal or black ripple metal, this is the stainless steel version.
The light version is available as SE Water Ripple No.8 with a mirror finish.
Zu deinem Prüfvermerk: In den FAQ wird das Verfahren bereits als TiN-PVD-Beschichtung benannt. Falls du es hier ergänzen willst, könnte der Satz lauten: „The black colour is created by a titanium nitride (TiN) coating applied to the stainless steel using the PVD process.”
For protection in handling and processing the surfaces, we use not just a single layer but a double layer of Novacell 4228 laser protection film as standard.
The representations of the surfaces do not necessarily correspond to the original sizes and serve only to give you an initial overview.

TiN stands for titanium nitride, an exceptionally hard coating that can be applied to stainless steel using the PVD process (Physical Vapour Deposition). Eclipse Black refers to the dark, almost black colour of the surface. The coating gives the textured stainless steel an elegant, deep dark look and accentuates the three-dimensional Water Ripple texture.
